I painted Yellow Pond after a walk by the turlough one October evening at dusk. The west of Ireland sky was grey with smoky yellow and pink clouds whipping so fast from west to east. The reflections in the turlough waters were so colourful I had to try and capture them.
Yellow Pond has layers and layers of subtle hues of yellows, pinks and peach with splashes of blues and greens against a dark backdrop of dark burnt sienna and browns. It measures 39cm x 39cm in a white limed-wood framed and comes ready to hang with a large hanger on the rear.
